Grieves and Firehouse were standing by their bunks just chatting about their days and getting ready for the next day, it was exciting they had never been on shore leave before, let along on a massive Starbase like SB93.

“No no no no no no no no!” Green ran by them with his hands flailing.

Kas was 5 feet behind him, “It wasn’t that bad Jon, she didn’t notice!”

Grieves and Firehouse both looked at each other, their eyebrows raised and a smirk on their face. This required the investigation of the Gruesome Twosome.

As the two of them hopped into a light jog to follow they weren’t sure what was going to happen, all they heard were a light murmur of reassurance coming from the Counselor, and soft wimpering… “Must get clean…. must get clean.”

“What the hell happened?” Coop spoke up.

“No no… you two… back off,” Kas stood between the gruesome twosome and Jon, “don’t make me get security.”

This was pretty serious. “Oh now I must know…” Coop said with a toothy grin.

“Yeah me too.” Firehouse said.

The four of them had went to the academy together and got assigned together to the Pow, they had a comradery. Joking, poking fun at each other, that blurred the lines. Very seldomly they would recognize each others jobs, or rank.

“No, you had to be there.” The telepath said.

“No fair, you have magic brain powers, you can read his mind, we can’t.” Firehouse complained. “You gotta tell us.”

“No!” Kas Objected.

“Kas… it’s fine.” Jon said in a low voice… “they are going to find out anyway.”

“You sure you want to tell them?” Kas was being supportive, but she didn’t want to tell them. That was Jon’s crutch to bear.

“Yeah… Kas and I were in the mess hall eating sloppy joe’s, as you know we love them from our academy days…”Jon said, he could hear the snickering in the background, “well, didn’t know there was cheese on mine.”

Kas put her hand over her mouth, trying to remain professional.

“Who was your victim?” Coop asked as Firehouse fell into a squat with his hand over his mouth.

“The Captain, in a Turbolift…” Kas interjected before Jon could.

The mountainous eruption of laughter filled the corridor and probably reached the bathroom on the otherside of deck 12.

“Yup, so I am just going to lay here, and die now. Thanks.” Jon admitted.

“Dude… it’s just a fart.” Firehouse tried to keep a straight face.

“She has been in negotiations with the Malon’s. She probably didn’t even notice.” Kas said.

“C’mon Toot’s don’t beat yourself up, it happens.” Coop tried to be supportive.

“I hate you all.” Jon said The group of friends surrounded him.

Coop offered a hand, “Just sleep with your door open tonight, we don’t want you dying of Carbon Monoxide or something.”
