Helen drew a bath, something had to take away the ache from her shoulders, and her back, and several war wounds from the years. Meila was a good doctor to loose, she had prescribed some pain killers, but her GP on Earth had prescribed some other ones that she had as well for situations like this.

She reached for the bottle, she had been on them for years, she could easily take two of them and not feel the effects of them. She took out three small white tablets and shot them back with a shot of Red Wine… On the bottle it said not recommended with alcohol, a warning that she had learnt to ignore.

She grabbed the padd of information to pull up the information on the new Chief Medical Officer, T’pret, apparently she had a history with her first officer, and a few of the officers. She must’ve been a capable officer considering she was pulled from the Academy.

As the medication took affect, she slid into the tub, the combination of the magic fingers that seemed to engulf her body, to de-strain the injuries and the warmth from the bath she let out a sigh that she had been building all day.

A muffled talk came over top of everything, the Helen blinked her eyes, took in a deep breath and was met with water… choking awake, she jumped out of the bath…

“Captain Delaney please come in.” came the voice over the Comms.

“Cough cough… Captain Delaney here.” choking for her breath.

“Captain we have recieved new orders.” Came the voice of the Comms Officer.

“Thank you.” she said putting on her robe and heading to the desk. She hadn’t known how long it had been.
